Day 11 Keld (Birkdale) to Reeth (27.9 Km, total ascent 620 m)
We decided to walk from the B&B at Birkdale, rather than accept the offer of a lift to rejoin the Coast to Coast Path where we had left it the previous day. As a consequence we had a much longer walk than most doing this leg.

Farewell to Little Birkdale |
Having spent some time in Swaledale in 2012 we decided we would like to walk through the dale so opted for the low route, mostly along the river in this section of the walk, rather than the high route through the old mining remains.
